My local hbs just gave me 4 x 100 gm hop packets (foil, vacuumed sealed) to try out.

Simcoe
Horizon
Warrior
Palisade

Just put down an APA using the Simcoe & Horizon (cascade substitute I believe)...

I've heard people raving about Simcoe, but anyone tried any of the others?

Cheers Ross

Have heard of but not used Ross (other than Simcoe).
I've read and seen a lot of recipes where Micros in the US use Warrior as their main bittering hop if that is any use.

Beers,
Doc

Haven't tried any of the others, but I'm quite happy to rave about Simcoe.

I'm a big fan of Horizon. I'd say it's a bit more lemony and woody where Cascade is perhaps more grapefruity. Just brewed a Double IPA with LOTS of Horizon - can't wait to get stuck into that one.
