/addicted to hops

My only sugestion is to add the following:
100 wheat
150 munich or vienna to the grain bill.

Try adding the Chinook to the Mash Tun - mash hoping.
Add 10 gms of chinook to the kettle before the rolling boil - FWH
Forget the 10 gms of cascade for 1 min. IMHO it is a waste - dry hop with it instead.

Let me know how you go.....bring a bottle to the Barossa some time.

I'm with Ken ... except
-I would add more than 150 g Munich
-I would make the 1 min Cascade addition more like 20 or 30 g, and I would put it in a pantyhose leg and transfer it to the fermenter. Then you get both the late boil and the dry hop out of the same hops.

Call me wierd, but i thought as i was paying a little extra for the marris otter i thought i would keep to just english grains, hence no vienna, munich or pilsner crystals or otherwise.

I also wanted a pretty light ale aswell. I agree though, I need more hops!

I'm not sure that 15g of Chinook will be bitter enough for an APA. Try maybe 25g. Also, double your Cascade and dry hop the 1 min addition, as GMK says. You metion keeping your grain bill "English", but as it's an american style, anything goes. To get some colour in there, I would add about 300g of munich malt and for a nice creamy head, add about 150-200g of wheat.

Stick with your original recipe Wedge and see how it turns out. Then adjust from there. If you ask for advice it can become confusing with all the well intentioned recommendations
Post a report when you drinking it.

Cheers and bollocks
TDA

I think thats what i'll do TDA. My problem is i try things before doing it the hard and hence i never really get any appreciation form doing something, (ie Dry hoppin')

I'm going to add 150g of wheat and maybe some more cascade, i know its not exactly to style but i did want to keeps the IBUs to are 33 with a bit of late hopping.

I will dry hop this one
