A little ot but i noticed Sims (Melbourne) and IGA are selling these too. How can you tell if its the beer brewed in Dublin or the syrup brewed in Dublin?Bribie G said:In the stores with liquor,
Guinness 6 pack (not 4 pack) widget cans, Dublin brewed, $17.
I think these are the same as the ones they had for Oktoberfest last year, might be some left over stock that they've brought back out to sell off.Bribie G said:In the liquor store "alcove" while stocks last:

Yep, same ones -- they're damn near indestructible too.earle said:I think these are the same as the ones they had for Oktoberfest last year, might be some left over stock that they've brought back out to sell off.
Is it rude if I clear out my local Aldi's entire stock of these? Great price.GibboQLD said:Yep, same ones -- they're damn near indestructible too.
A couple of years ago a bunch of us picked up left over smokers for $100 - bloody excellent, I love mineBridges said:Anyone going to brave the crowds for an aldi smoker tomorrow. They've done them before too. Anyone run one?
Worth it for the full price IMO, as they may not have left over stock this time. There's a smoking thread on this forum that features these smokers if you need inspiration.Bridges said:Awesome, I was unsure but for a hundred 'd jump at one. I guess I can wait and see.

Take the door off the smoker, line the smoker surfaces that make contact with the door with glad wrap. Run a bead of the silicone on the door, reattach door and close it shut against the glad wrap. Let it cure for a few hours, then carefully open the door and peel off the glad wrap. Hey presto! A perfect seal around the door.
Whats the gas consumption rate on one of these bad boys?Bribie G said:Thang of beauty, took me a couple of hours to assemble, and currently curing it with a smoke run. I'm now a member of the Smoking Meat sub forum, they let me in.

Don't know the rate but a bottle of gas lasts a long time. They have one small round burner and for low and slow cooking you have it turned all the way down.DJ_L3ThAL said:Whats the gas consumption rate on one of these bad boys?
