Is it wrong?
I caught myself doing some serious sniffing just then.
You know how it goes, go start with a little sniff once in a while, you start to experiment and learn not no open the fermenter lid stuck your head in and draw in a good 250mls of extreme burning nose pain. (what is that burning, sulphur? CO2?) then one day you've had a few beers and you wander in, like tonight, and there's the last lager for the year double batch blooping away like bursts of machine gun fire. I take a sniff and "whoa! :blink: " German Hallertauer Mittlefruh and Czech Saaz whole hops and Bo Lager yeast working overtime at about 11C :beer: , next minute I'm snorting the airlock like a madman!
Is this a bad idea?

edit- i think it's the middle one so I voted for that. but i'd be interested to know. i was going to wait and ask DrKarl but i CBF'd.
