But you have nothing to worry about the brew will produce C02 and this C02 will push its way out of the airlock. the airlock will push the water to one side this is from the pressure in the vessel, Then when it starts to ferment more it will start bubbling.

Now dont go on the rule when the airlock stops bubbling its ready this is false and dangerous. My suggestion is to ferment for 8-10 days check the gravity then 3 days later check the gravity again if its the same your right to bottle. Dont rush the fermentation let it do its thing and it will only be more beneficial to the beer if you leave it longer then shorter.
