I have a one month lager - and a few older ones

this one month(cold keged) lager
(2 weeks secondry - cold) - is rather watery and nice very nice

yet a "scrap" beer i made, lager kit Plus some dark DME is tasting very nice and only a few weeks in the keg (again cold secondry) - smooth nice and a slight malt sweetness

I dont understand why all my lagers taste crap untill aged a long time while dark beers are great rather quick

( i am yet to try any of my better brews with liquid yeasts etc the above is based on kit + DME etc brews - kit yeats)
