Totally noob question here . . . .

I have kegged my first beer and put the co2 on to gas up.

Just had a look at ot and the gauge is reading that it is at a bit over 100kpa, I was wondering how to reduce it to it its sitting on or closer to 100.

Would I loosen the "collar" nut and turn left, then vent the keg to get a reading. The needle desn't seem to move when I make some small (fearful?) adjustments.

Any suggestion welcomed

Cheers
Bruce

Has the regulator got a pressure relief valve on it? If so turn the nut as you say and relieve it of pressure, then if it has dipped below 100 turn it to the right v slowly til you get the pressure you want

exactly, pull the ring top left to relieve pressure after you have turned the nut in the middle back a bit
