My last 5 brews have using the ESB Fresh Wort Kits.
I usually add 3L of water to these brews.
Tasting the first three batches. I have noticed a distinct lack of bitterness in general.
The next batch I will do. I plant to:
Do the partial/all grain boiling schedule but with just the 3L of water.
Bring 3-4L of water to boil.
Add hops at 60mins for extra bitterness.
Add hops at 15-20mins for extra flavour.
Add hops at 2 mins for aroma.
Does any one know the original IBU's on these brews?
Does this sound feasible?
Obviously I will not add as much hops as if I was doing an AG.
