hi all,

i am pretty sure im on the right track here but im after someone with the knowledge to confirm it for me.

if i have 16.5lts of 6.3% ABV beer and then dilute it with a non alcoholic liquid before kegging with 2.5lts what is the final ABV of the 19lts

my calculations

6.3 / 19l = 0.3316

0.3316 x 16.5 = 5.47

can someone confirm the final 19lts will be 5.47% ABV?

cheers

May I suggest you do it on a small sample first to taste the result (say, 165 ml plus 25 ml of diluting liquid). If you are adding 15 to 20% water, for example, it may just end up tasting like watered down beer!
