I've got a lot of 750ml bottles, half of them are coopers crown seal stout bottles that are heavy buggers, the other half are twist top. Some coopers, some swan or cub
Back when coopers used twist top for stouts, the bottles weigh in at 420-430g, and I have a few swan or cub bottles that are 415-420g, so I assume they are fine to use too - these must be the really old swan or cub bottles.
There's a bunch of swan or cub bottles that are only 385g, these are the newer ones where I guess that went thinner walls for cost reasons.
Anyone use these lighter bottles in home brew without issue?
I can leave them for last/emergency, but really I have 60 PETs and 50 proper heavy weight crown seal ex coopers stout bottles anyway, and another 50x 415-420g twist tops...
Anyone want them for home made passata or something? There's probably 40 or so.
I'm not sure if these are even the lightest/thinnest bottles get. I think I had one that was only 320 or 360g.
