Party people, don't be Sadfield as the much anticipated Gladfield bulk buy is upon us! Quite a few new malts since last time.

Base malts: minimum quantity of 12.5kg or 1/2
Specialty malts: minimum quantity of 6.25kg or 1/4

Please start saving empty grain bags as this is always an issue. Shipping costs are to be confirmed, placeholder in the doc is what we paid last time for 2 pallets.

@contrarian over to you my brewing bro!

Nice intro Marcus, sad field is that intangible emotion you have when you realise you only have crystal malts from Europe!

I'm a sucker for BBs, I just put my name down for another bag of malt. I'm not sure if I will be able to fit it in my room, I'll need to get brewing to make some space.

I guess that's why we have the ingredient swap thread... and a stash house.

It's the beer you have before you start the jobs.

RIS before the chores, saison after.

I’ve always wanted to try and brew a barleywine strength saison, say 10% ABV; could get both jobs done at once!

10% saison should be in reach, if you can get it to finish at 1.004 you only need 1.080 to get there. I normally make saisons to be quaffers but I can see a partigyle saison in my very near future!

That's an amazing idea. I was wondering what to do with 67L of 1.090 saison! I'll make 22L of 1.090 and 45L of 1.040 or whatever

Either that or just make 67L of 1.090 saison, put it in 15L cubes and then water down to desired drinking level at fermentation so you have 30L of 1.045 for example. That gives you a keg plus a few tallies for the cellar. I'm full of good ideas today!
