What is the recommended time frame for aging beer in barrels?

from months to years, depends on the age of the barrel and how much has been extracted from it.

The Keg of RIS Ive pulled out of one of mine after 3 months is intense, by the time 100l has cycled through it, it'll need longer and longer, eventually it will need to be shaved and re-charred to get the oak coming through again.

kep an eye on the thread boys, doubrless, when they surface, I'll contact people with expressed interest here as first dibs, but I rekon we will run short already, there is plenty of interest (and rightly so) in them and will not last long.
