Hey Folks,
Made a bit of a mention of this last meeting and (belatedly) am making it official.
Aiming for the week after the July meeting (20th July), hopefully aiming for the Sunday 29th of July to commense a swapping of beers and meeting of brewers. Potters Brewery in Gods Country, ie The Hunter Valley, might be an option if we get enough takers, so you can make a bit of a day out of it.
So just to establish a few little bits of info on how it'll go down:
- Brew a batch of beer. Style open, but being the middle of winter dark/stronger beers are encouraged. Make sure it's enough for 21L in the bottle (which equates to 28 longnecks...even if 28 don't participate, you get some beer back!)
- Bottle beer into 750mL bottles. Happy to accept longies, Champagne or plastic...if people have problem finding bottles let me know
- Supply details on such beer online. Good to know what we get look forward to drinking, but don't stress if it doesn't suit a style perfectly.
- Meet and swap beers.
Ideally, you wanna crack on and get your brewing done ASAP. Not problems if your beer isn't ready to drink straight away....but it sucks having to bottle at last minute!
I'll start it off with 14 places...which equates to 14 bottles/10.5L/a milk crate each:
1. Muggus - Scalded Hand Belgian Ale
2. Scott - Breakfast Stout
3. Steve - Some_sorta_beer.
