you're in the wrong hobby if you want shit certified
Forgive me if I'm out of place radshoes, but I think you are referring to Australia's electrical safety requirements, which Australian retailers need to adhere to.

As is described in the attached SAI global snapshot of Australian Standards and Certification for Household Electrical Equipment. For legal recourse there is the ACCC body, Product Safety. https://www.productsafety.gov.au
They then direct you to your state's member of ERAC

Very true that the chinese imported gear through the likes of ebay are often not meeting our standards. An example is the 18650 LiPo battery chargers which fail Australian Standards (one point being the black insulating tape on the upper part of the pins as per the second attachment). Without those the risk is that a child is able to insert a plug and have their small fingers touching the pin as the socket's conductor meets it - energising and killing the kid.

Australian Standards AS/NZS 3112:2000 and AS/NZS 3112:2004 for Australian power plug now define the requirements for the insulation of the Active and Neutral pins of the plug.

This is but one aspect of electrical safety for electrical appliances.

I think you have a better than sound question radshoes.

And with InkBird's ebay site showing the wrong plug then Australian consumers waiting for a reasonable confirmation would be justified.

If anyone knows more or has corrections, please chip in.

As for getting shit certified, anyone undertaking that new faecal transplant therapy is going to what that shit certified!
