My cheap and nasty psu from China crapped out on me first use !
I need a replacement suitable for my pump, 12v 0.8amps.
Brewing this weekend, so online purchases are out. Ringwood North area prefered.
Any ideas....please !

Try a jaycar or dicksmiths mate im sure they will have something to sort ya out

Ok, cheers all. Looking at Jaycar's site now, never been there before. I should find something suitable.
Thanks Yob too, but if I leave this job unfinished I'll never do it !!

Cheers for all the help guys :)
I'll pop in to the Maroondah Hwy Jaycar tomorrow.

Back up and running again. :D
Also grabbed a dimmer control to slow down the recircultion.
Thanks again guys

Hey danwood, would love to hear how the dimmer goes for recirc. I gone one off ebay (12v dimmer) and it does shit all...

Just from a quick dry run (literally), it seems good. Mine is Powertech at $28 from Jaycar.
On the lowest setting, just before it turns to 'off', it sounds like the pump is running at about 20%, I'm guessing that'd be around 1.5l ish per min. The LBPs are 8l per min max, I think?
Anyway, I'll post back over the weekend for any interested parties.

All went well...ESB done.

Pump and dimmer combo went really well.

Lowest speed available is around 20%(1.5l per min ish) max pump speed. Max speed(8l per min) is good enough to get a bit of a whirlpool going

I'll use the same dimmer set up for a plate stirrer I'm about to build, and just swap them about as I need.

Dan

Edit + Insulation tape
