Hi all. I've recently bought some 1.5 Ltr bottles and was wondering if anyone had any tips/ experience with them. I'll be using them to bottle pale ale or something similar. Any tips or just double the dex when bottling? Cheers.

Personally I use 4 carb drops, seems to be a good level of carbonation

Cheers. Will do. What's the diff between dex and carb drops?

That's it, easy as pie. I've done the 2.25 Darwin stubbie with 6 drops, works a treat.
Cheers

Carb drops to me are a waste of money, dextrose is better as you can weigh out exact amounts.

I use 1.5 litre PET bottles and use 7 grams of dex per bottle or if bulk priming use 120 grams dex for 23 litres for pale ales.

I've bulk primed with a mix of 1.5L (the old woolies softdrink bottles) and other sizes.

I've used two priming spoons worth in them and primed individually - both work.

The extra cost is worth the convenience for me
