    Fermenting In A Corny Keg

If you use something like a caskwidge - a floating beer line with a built-in filter it’s much less likely to get blocked. Works a treat in my corny fermenter

Kegland robobrew may not be for me confused

I’ve never quite managed 4hrs myself on the GF, probably nearer 5-6 for me including all chilling and cleaning, but if you want to shorten your brew day there are several options: 1. Reduce mash time (eg to 45mins) 2. Reduce boil time (eg to 45mins) 3. Don’t sparge (full volume mash) 4. No chill...

Kegland robobrew may not be for me confused

No need to buy the digiboil. Either heat sparge water in the robo and then run off into a separate vessel/cooler before mashing in, or just sparge cold.

    Anyone Using Brewfather?

Hey @Tilz - any chance you could give me some more info on how you set up the smartPID with the Robobrew and how this benefits your brews? I’ve been considering doing the exact same thing but don’t know a) how difficult it will be to set up b) whether it is actually worth it PM me if you like -...

Storing full corny kegs when there's no room to cool

Or you could add the sugar into the empty keg first, then attach a line from the gas post of the fermentasauris to the keg. As the beer ferments in the fermentasaurus the CO2 created will naturally purge the keg without having to use your own CO2. It also means you can rack the beer onto the...

Pressure Ferment - Closed Transfer to Keg

I do a slightly different method, which works well but you’re too far down the road to use it for this batch. During fermentation I hook up my serving keg to my fermenting keg (you could use your fermzilla) with a gas to gas line, with a spunding valve on the beer out post of the serving keg set...

    KegLand Questions and Answers

This looks brilliant - just what I’m after. A sleek, aesthetically pleasing fermentation fridge that can hold a decent number of fermenters. Looking forward to the units being released!

A few questions before my first AG brew attempt

I’d imagine the irregularities are more likely due to user error than any bug in the software. Have you set it up correctly and made sure all of the brew house settings are correct and measured to your system? Even using a pre-programmed set of variables (eg for the Grainfather) it may not match...

A few questions before my first AG brew attempt

I would highly recommend looking into Brewfather software for your water/grain calculations. It’s much more user friendly than Beersmith (what I used to use) and free.

    KegLand Questions and Answers

I’m really looking forward to getting a Kegmenter. Are you planning to make any neoprene jackets to help keep temperature consistent? I’d also be really interested in seeing the heating/cooling systems in action if you were planning to make a video showing how the system works. Thanks!
