    All Grain Induction Brew

Level 9 on the IKEA Induction is meant to be 2000W. Either way im happy with the boil that was happening. Letting it cool down down to see how the insulation goes. Then will check the pause feature which is meant to keep the liquid warm... Thanks for the reply

    Hydrometer sitting at 1020

My last brew had an SG of 1.045 and got stuck at 1.020 while I was away camping. I increase the temp from 18 to 22 (using a pressure fermenter) and it only moved down to 1.016. FG should have been around 1.006.... I left it for a few days and after it gave the same reading over 2 days I just...

    DIY Keggle RIMS build

I'm located west Melbourne. I added up what i wanted through Aliexpress and came close to 300 with shipping... was hoping to find something closer to the $100 Mark. That didnt include the keg. Just the bulk heads, valves, element etc. For $300 id be better off buying a ready made system. My...

Can you guess what i did wrong! (View Pic)

Yup i blew beer all through my PRV not once but twice. First time was whilst filling my keg and didnt realise i was so close to filling it. And the second was after pumping 30 psi into my keg to carbonate it and then attempting to degas it to sample the beer. Lesson learnt. Question is, i...

Full Batch (23L) BIAB in 19L Kettle

I just had a look at the fermenter and can see 3kg of trub sitting at the bottom, ive dropped the yeast in and will see how it turns out. I'll look at getting a weldless fitting with the pick up tube sitting around 3L above the bottom. What sort of negative flavours will I be likely to get...

Full Batch (23L) BIAB in 19L Kettle

Thanks for the detailed reply I strained the wort through a sieve when pouring it into the fermenter which seemed to catch a whole lot of trub. I don't have a tap at the bottom of my kettle so just pour it in slowly through a sieve. The brew does look similar to a Hazy IPA I made a few...

Kegland Recipe Kits - Anybody tried and are they any good

I made the Green Lager beer kit from keg land and it was great. I would like to try some of the double IPAs but the muntons extract kits are always out of stock. When I first saw the prices for these kits I thought they were a real bargain, but after clicking on them you soon find out that...
