    Im going off a few things to tell me when is fermentation is done I look at the readings and how the yeast cake is acting and I watch the top of the brew for bubbles once it slows right down even with the temperature being around 22 I'd say it's done I have just moved it into a secondary off...

    The yeast strain I don't know it came with the coopers pale ale can of wort the room temp doesn't matter with the hydrometer as I am checking water at room temperature and then the brew and adjusting points to how much the water is off the 1000 by

    Yes I boiled both and fresh unopened packs and I always let the hydrometer stand in room temperature for ages then I recheck again do you think it's a really reading for pale ale with that recipe? OG 1055 down to 1005

    Checked with room temperature water was 4 points off still only give me a reading of 1005 if I account for the 4 points nothing else is as any signs of anything wrong still think is a very low reading

    Will test it again today and it can't be infected I use a 3 stage antibacterial and fungicide sanitizing agent that's used for boarder security food transport

    Yes that's room temperature and 22 is ok its ale more forgiving then larger

    Im sure i checked it twice two samples Use 1 can of coopers pale ale 1 kg of castor sugar 1kg of Sanders malt extract 500g of coconut palm sugar in 23 liter fermentation vessel

    Started a new batch of pale ale OG was 1051 that was 4 days ago just checked it and it's reading 1001 with the hydrometer looks and smells normal question is is this normal for pale ale ?

    Beer turned out good clear AVB 3.6 no real beer taste though like drinking water that has a little bitter to it haha

    Thanks you were right it was 1035 OG it has stopped and been at 1010 for 3 days now looks smells and taste great a little cloudy should be about 3.3 AVB think the cloud will go away in bottle conditioning and chilling

    So got myself one of those 23 liter diy Cooper brew kits put it all in got OG of 1135 it's been 24 hours took a sample it's Gravity is 1122 so should be about 1.7% I think question is this normal for 1 day of fermentation?

    After day 1 my brew is 23 liters at AVB of 1.7 as a sample is this normal first time brewing it's the fit coopers 23 liter kit
