    Coopers XPA

    Just saving some yeast from a 6 pack of Coopers XPA. Lemon drop and simcoe hops in stock also have coopers schooner malt. May add a dash of wheat of carapils for a bit of mouthfeel. Anyone made somthing close?

    Cheap scales

    So i got a set of scales off evil bay you know the cheap arse plastic ones. Big mistake these things are useless out by as much as a kilo trying to measure a 4.5kg grain bill. So dont be tempted folks the old addage you get what you pay for certainly applies here.

    Fanta Pants irish red ale.

    Been wanting to make a red ale for some time. Here's what i came up with. 4kg JW pale 1kg Munich ll 300g Caaroma 150g flaked oats Mash in @52 for 10min Add water to 64 for 60min. Add water to 71 mash out at that. 25g fuggles@ 40min 25g EKG@40@ 40min 25g Styrian goldings at 0 25g EKG at 0...

    Mullberries

    Got a shit ton of mullberries in the freezer like to make a cyser berries apple juice mix. 1. Best yeast to not leave dry as a nuns **** 2. Add on like a bit of mouth feel.ie not over crisp sharp. I have done a few of these very nice but ended way to dry like pink champagne was still very nice...

    Stalled 34/70

    Made a biab German pils. 3.0 kg weyerman pils 1.6 kg marris otter 500g boiled rice. Mashed @64 for 60min Raised 72c for 10min. 52g hallertau @60 min 30g hallertau @0 Cubed dunked in pool to chill. Made a 1lt starter from 1 pkt 34/70 feed and shake method in 2lt pet bottle.     Easy biab recipe builder

    Ok be kind im not exactly a genius on a computer. Most of the apps I've looked at are either crap or well over the top for what i want to achieve. Im doing biab all i really want ease of being able to put in a recipe with grains bill hops yeast etc and give me water volumes boil time etc. WTF...

    Hi all, Getting back into brewing after a hiatus of some 5 years . Got to L plates on all grain before time and work took control of my life. Decided to go biab all grain due to being easier and still produce quality. Also dabble in distilling. Cheers Brad
