    Continuing Jokes Thread

A man's walking home late at night when he sees a woman in the shadows. "Twenty bucks," she says. He's never been with a prostitute before, but he decides what the hell. They are going at it for a minute when all of a sudden a light flashes on them - it's a policeman. "What's going on here...

The Corona Virus (COVID 19) Thread

If the bottle shops are still open, there should be no reason you can get booked by heading to the home brew shop. No difference between either driving to the LHBS or the local bottle shop.

    Merry Christmas!

Hope you all have a great day, anybody brave enough to brew today? :) It’s been a real pleasure to join up this year and makes you realise just how much there is to learn about this amazing hobby of ours! All the best for the next 12 months guys, hope you all keep up the awesome brews I’ve...

    Chilling the wort.

I can get my 40lt batches down to pitching temps within ten minutes. I have a cooper immersion chiller and use a cordless power drill with a paddle attached to whirlpool the wort. I start slowly (the jury is still out on hot side aeration ‍♂️) once it’s below 50c (about 5 mins) I’ll speed it up...

KK - 'Fermentasaurus' conical PET fermenter

What was already great just got greater! Well done KK team :) although, I’d hate to be the guy that, after a few beers, goes to pick up the unit via the top ‘t’ piece in a lapse of concentration, and watch an entire brew day empty onto the floor in a matter of seconds...

KK - 'Fermentasaurus' conical PET fermenter

What’s the stainless thing running down the centre with a ‘t’ piece top? Didn’t have one on my snub nose I picked up last week?

Bayside Brewers 2019 Oktoberfest Amateur Homebrew Competition - German Styles

I’ve just spotted this, apologies for not getting back to you sooner! I managed to drop them off at keg king last week before the closing date, so they should be with you already. I was wondering if the judging and the day was open to non-members? Would be nice to come along to your meet today...

KK - 'Fermentasaurus' conical PET fermenter

My first run of the snub nose today. 28lt batch of Old Speckled Hen in my fermentation fridge just starting to tick over. So far, I’m very impressed, oxygen free transfers to cornies, easy to clean, not so hard to move around and the ability for me to hook it up easily to my beer engine for...

Induction brewing... anyone doing it? What induction element do you use.

Hello, I think I’m barking up the right tree here, but feel free to correct me if I’m not... I was under the impression that induction elements are more efficient than other external heating elements as they heat the pot directly, rather than heating the pot and the air around it, not to mention...

Bayside Brewers 2019 Oktoberfest Amateur Homebrew Competition - German Styles

Hey Ditchnbeer, I’m just down the road from Hickinbotham and very keen to enter my first comp! Any chance I can drop my entries off there? One of my best buddies is the head chef there, so I’m sure he’d keep them safe for me :)
