Belgium Beer Importers - Notjustwine.....anyone had any experience?

My Dad is signed up to the international beer collector and the beers have been great, I would definitely recommend them (dad's also been nice enough to share them with me)

    Lager Incremental cube feeding

I often use 2 x 10 L cubes to do this after a local brewery told me they do a similar thing. Brew a batch one day, send to fermenter and pitch yeast, then brew a second batch the next day and run it into the same fermenter

    Kingys herms Build Thread

Kingy, I automated my brewery (braumeister style) and it allowed me to brew more often whilst still being able to look after the kids, I can't recommend it enough! I set mine up to pre heat after a time delay so it can be ready for mash in in the morning and it will hold mash out temp whilst...

Marks Home Brew confirmed to stay open then sold

I think that must be his message bank. I got it before 10 this morning, but he picked up after 10. Says he just got his internet back (hence no emails) and a tonne of malt yesterday.

How much is saved milling own grain?

More importantly than the savings I think is the ability to brew at short notice, assuming you keep healthy stocks of malts Sent from my GT-N7105 using Tapatalk

    Oh boy

Yep, Time can help over hopping. If you have the space, you may as well hang on to it. Lagering will smooth the flavours out a bit too. Cheers Dan Edit: Fat fingers.

    Cube infection?

Yeah, It sucks when that happens to a brew that you're excited about. Cheers

No pics. Tin of Heineken. P.S. I'd thought you'd be able to work a computer by now Tony!

    Cube infection?

Yeah, But you can't pitch and ferment at 60 degrees. Either cube at higher temps, or chill to ferment temps and pitch straight away in future i'd say. But i think you know already know this now. I wouldn't try cubing at 60 degrees again, i think it's inviting infection regardless of whether...

How long would you give a lager yeast to kick off?

Another method i use to ensure a nice pitching rate is to cube my lager in 2 x 10 Litre cubes, pitch yeast from a 4L starter into fermenter with 1 cube, add the other 10 litres after about 24 hrs (or yeast action is evident). Learnt this method from a local craft brewery. Note. The cubes and...

    Colour coded beer line

Heat shrink does the job, and is a little neater than tape if you haven't built the kegerator yet Sent from my GT-N7105 using Tapatalk

    Cask and Hand-pump

It's not CAMRA kosher, but I've used a corny keg with a co2 regulator connected to the gas in post set at atmospheric pressure or a touch under when using my 'poor man's hand pump'. When beer is pumped out of the keg it draws co2 back in through the reg (and non return). The only thing to be...

    My Australia Day Brew

Have you read the Australian IA thread? Australia day means many different things to many different people, pretty hard to pin down. The quintessential aussie hop is POR. .. Sent from my GT-N7105 using Tapatalk
