    Tried everything! Infection again!

I had a persistent infection that I think was coming from where I brewed. Outside under the patio roof. There was some black mould on the roof that I assume was the culprit

What's the difference between a chickpea and a lentil? I wouldn't pay to have a lentil on my face.

    KegLand Questions and Answers

No worries. I got it sorted in the end. I emailed a video showing how difficult it is to just push the screw through. I suggest you advise any other customers who have this issue to scrape out the tape and foam carefully with a sharp knife.

Good to know there are no wires. For the record... the screws don't push through the tape. I needed to scrape it out with a sharp knife... something I was reluctant to do... and frankly shouldn't have had to do. I understood what they were trying to say. My point is that they were 1. wrong...

Thanks Mark and Reg. Lots of info there to get me started. Totally agree that focusing on quality over quantity is the way to go. I was guilty of cutting corners to save some money. Happy to say that I know better now. Anyhow, apologies for the temporary hijack... looking forward to hear more...

Mark, I have nothing but respect for the knowledge and passion for brewing excellent beer that you bring to this forum. I have been absent for a while now and was happy to see that you are still here championing good evidence-based practice. Furthermore I was hoping you could provide me with a...

    KegLand Questions and Answers

The screws aren't self tapping - they have a flattened tip. Thinking about slowly drill a self tapping screw in to get a thread started and then remove and continue with the proper screws. Paranoid about clipping a wire and making the fridge live so I'm not 100% on this. If I do I will only...

    KegLand Questions and Answers

Some of the holes were pre-drilled and as you can see in my earlier pics some of those do have foam. But there are some holes that are clearly not pre-drilled... again quite obvious from one photo in particular. Being pissed on and told it's raining is not my idea of good customer service...

What are you brewing - 2019?

Doc Smurto's Golden Ale First brew in years so wanted to go with something tried and true. Thinking of using the same grain bill in the next few to dial in the numbers on my new GF. Just change the hops.

Probably better off playing around with yeast type, pitching rate, fermentation temp etc... but best of luck. Hopefully it works out

Grainfather - Counterflow into kettle first and then into fermenter

Hi everyone, Just bought a grainfather and it specifically says to NOT recirc the wort back into the kettle. However, my tap water is 28C so I want to pre-chill with ice water to get the wort down to 18C or so. I'm thinking of recirc wort through counterflow and back into kettle to get the...

@KegLand-com-au Am I expected to drill this out to screw in the castors? Seems a bit much given the money I spent on it

8mm worked a treat. My next issue though is for the front castors. I only realised after taking out the other screws is that 2 of the holes for the front ones are not pre-drilled. I wasn't too keen on drilling into the bottom of the fridge though.
