    Dual Font Rebuild/Cleanup

Update: I managed to get it off. Holy hell that took some effort. Used the monkey wrench to provide some grip and after a lot of struggling and cursing and what feels like a palm full of blisters, it found its way off. Here's what we are left with. Doesn't look too complicated from here...

    Dual Font Rebuild/Cleanup

Will grab some steel wool and give it a bit of a rub down to get it looking nice again. I was thinking the top may have been screwed on to the pipe, but couldn't get it to budge. At the moment I'm limited to using boiling water and the freezer. So far, neither methods have worked. If it does...

    Dual Font Rebuild/Cleanup

Hey guys, The FIL got given the following setup the other day and was hoping to get it cleaned up and running again. Has anyone seen or used one of these types of font setups, and if so, how do I go about replacing the lines and getting everything cleaned up (in dire need of a good scrubbing)...

    Epic Hop Zombie DIPA

If you get a recipe together, be sure to post your thoughts on it. I would love to have a clone of this at home, in larger, cheaper quantities. I reckon she might be more impartial to the Sink The Bismarck IPA or the End of History beer from BrewDog. Either way, I wouldn't be declining an...

    Whats In The Glass (commercial)

It's definitely different. I just poured myself a glass then, and instantly from the smell I knew it would be what I was expecting. It has that sour smell to it, but not so much in a way that it is off-putting. The first sip met my expectations. I only had a small sip to start with, but it...

Coopers Kit Cans For Beersmith 2 - Download Included

No worries mate! Here is the data formatted for use with BrewMate. You will just need to copy it all to the BMData.xml file found, most likely in, C:\BrewMate. Just open that with a text editior, find the <grains></grains> section and add it in there, you should see what it looks like. If not...

    Whats In The Glass (commercial)

A bit late posting this, but better late than never I suppose. My order form Int. Beer Shop came a few weeks back with a mix of different styles to try out. I picked 6 in total for my first order (gets expensive when you start picking them out), and here is what I came up with in order of...

Spiegelau has created a special IPA glass

Very nice Doubleplugga! Did you go directly through the Sierra site or?

Spiegelau has created a special IPA glass

I was expecting about $15/glass. That's pretty good value. A test postage works out to $13.52 for me, which would bring it up to $43.52. I got quoted $36.94 for 1 glass shipped to me. So the value is pretty good, assuming they are going to be sold around that mark. Looking forward to it!

Spiegelau has created a special IPA glass

That's good to hear! Will be interesting to see how the prices compare to the american sites. If anyone does decide that they can't wait another 4 months, be sure to post photos and details about it ;) (I'll definitely do it if I can't control myself). Thanks for looking into it Liam_snorkel!

Spiegelau has created a special IPA glass

DFH Sounds good. Will be looking forward to seeing how you go. As for me, the cheapest so far for one glass posted is going to be $36.94. That's to a regional SA area as well. Quite a big difference from the previously mentioned prices but still high. Not sure how much postage for multiple...

Spiegelau has created a special IPA glass

Postage from DFH is about $45 but for something like this you would probably be better off getting a group buy and going through a post forwarding website. I would definitely go post forwarding for just one glad though. I might see what kind of prices I'd looking at.

Torrified wheat - Can it be done at home

Do you have a basement? If so, get a mate to help you out, having him wait down there in the dark. Tell the wheat to go down and grab you some supplies for the next brew. When he goes down there, have your friend jump out.... Wait, that's terrified wheat. Yeah, you are probably better off just...

Apple Juice Fermented With Added Msg?

Yeah, to make it worthwhile, the MSG would have to be higher, which like you said isn't exactly going to help the flavour. But lets be honest, those that are going to be doing this aren't going to be complaining about how bad it tastes, they're just going to throw it down the hatch and wait...

Apple Juice Fermented With Added Msg?

I wouldn't worry too much about people distilling off the alcohol, there's a bit more work involved than just putting the brew into the still and starting it up. You would have to do a few conversions first, otherwise you'll end up distilling off most of the GHB/GBL with the ethanol/water. GHB...

    Firestone Keg

G'day. As stated, the links posted in this thread are what you want to be looking at. As long as all the thread sizes match up (which they should), you'll be good to go. Great post! These are essential for your keg. I think ozbrew had some of these in stock.

    Firestone Keg

Awesome, I'll let him know tonight and he can double check them, bit they look the right part. thanks for that, he has a couple of these kegs but just wants to convert one to ball lock, the others will be used for misc brews or filter transfers. If you could get a pic that would be great, but...
