    Hey all, keen for a go at a cider and would love some feed back. I've got access to an apple tree which has green apples, and I've been told they don't have as much sugar as the red ones so I may need to add some sweet stuff. Green apple juice about 20lWine or champagne yeast?100 or 200g LDME...

    Thanks guys, og was 1050 and fg was 1010 will the carapils affect the flavour at all, or is it just purely head retention/mouthfeel etc? Also as this was a wheat beer recipe would other grains be ok, ie. crystal? Hazz

    Hey all, just a query about mouth feel and body. I put down this... 1.5kg coopers liquid wheat 1kg light malt 25g saaz hops @ 60min dry weizen yeast 18 litres 20 degrees After only two weeks in the bottle it tastes pretty bloody good, apart from the mouth feel which is a bit watery/light...

    Thanks flash, might need a chill pill, or two. Having said that almost 24 hours on and there is no action in my fermenter. I use the glad wrap method and there is no krausen or froth or bubbles or anything at all. Is it worth giving it a stir up or something? I pitched wb-06 at about 22 degrees...

Long story but my thermometer was out of action and i thought my wort was cool enough to tip into my fermenter but it was still high twenties according to the sticker on the fermenter.     Hey all, looking at doing my first wheat beer for a bit of a change... 1.5kg coopers LME 1kg DME 25g Saaz @ 60min Dry Weizen Yeast 20 litres Not sure about boil, maybe 6 litres, pretty new to this still. Will I have enough fermentables? Any help or suggestions would be great. Cheers, Hazz

    G'day all, putting on a brew along these lines, something like a wheat beer, 2.5kg wheat malt 0.7kg ldme 15g P of R @ 60 min 10g saaz @ 5 min irish moss @ 15 min Wyeast w3638 Will be my first extract brew so am not sure about the volume needed for the boil, and how much of my malts need...
