    Hello home brewers, I've only just bottled my first batch, but to help me survive the waiting period during bottle conditioning I thought I would begin a second batch. For batch #1 I made Morgan's Frontier IPA, and only got so-so attenuation (OG 1039, FG 1011), so I guess it will be a 3.5%...

    Senior Airlock

    You can use a step bit (safest) or a spade bit (riskier) to avoid the problem of the bit grabbing and cracking the lid. But after reading this thread I think I'm brewing my next batch under cling wrap.
