    What Are Coopers Playing At?

    What Is Considered Low Cohumulone?

So I brewed a 10min IPA with Galaxy which came out smelling superb! It's tasting great too, however there's an astringent sharp bitterness going on in the beer. Which made me think about a conversation I had with my mate about hop cohumulone levels. AFAIK, low cohumulone = Smoother bitterness...

    One For The Coffee Lovers.

Hey! I have a Moka Pot style stovetop coffee maker, and yesterday morning whilst brewing some coffee, the safety valve did it's job and released a bunch of steam. My question is: Do I need to replace the valve? Or can I keep using it? I made a cup this afternoon, and the valve did vent again...

    Hydrometer Tube

I've lost it! And as a result I can't take any hydro readings of the ESB that's in the fermenter. Has anyone lost theirs and been forced to improvise? What did you use? Cheers, Mitch :)

Hey all, My first AG batch was kegged the other day, Dr. Smurto's Golden Ale. After carbing it up, It pours well enough, nice head and all, but its cloudy as all heck (read: Orange Juice), and the flavour is so sweet. First thing that jumped into my mind was Hoegaarden. A few reasons this could...

Utilizing Coopers Best Extra Stout Yeast.

Hi guys, Going to throw down a stout in a while for winter. I was wondering if it was worth using the yeast from the Coopers stout bottles? Has anyone has any success? Is it just the same yeast as in the Pale Ale bottles? Any help would be great. Cheers Mitch :)

    Beers That Benefit From Cellaring.

Hi all. I'm considering buying 3 - 4 bottles of each of a few different beers, with the intention of cellaring them for a few years, and seeing how they develop over that time. Lovely malty taste, slightly bitter aftertaste but nothing to get excited about. Not a great head retention pouring from stubbie to glass and light on...
