    Chilli! All Things Chillies.

I moved them out of the sun under a shade cloth as well and they are striving now. I know this isn't the thread for it, but what do we think about potted Citrus/Lime trees? Same treatment? They're also getting too much sun right not I think. Cheers

    Chilli! All Things Chillies.

Thanks guys. They're definitely getting too much sun and I think that's the issue!

    Improve my Slow Cooked Brisket

Hey guys, not much of a chef but wondering if there's some extra tips for improving my slow cooked brisket? It's already pretty amazing. But wondering if I can make it even better! Cover with 2 tablespoons of Memphis Dry rup Marinade in the fridge for 12hrs in Stubbs BBQ Sauce Chuck in the Slow...

    Chilli! All Things Chillies.

How often should I water my chilli's in winter and summer? They keep dying from too much or too little. I mainly have garden chillies, peri peri, and maybe some ghost that haven't flowered yet.

    Fermzilla

In the video they used a Frisbee underneath. Did that today and it worked perfectly. No mess left the jar/Frisbee

    Fermzilla

Good to know I can at least fit it without the collection bottle. Cheers guys. I wonder how easy it will be to collect the yeast post fermentation then with the collection bottle. Can't be worse then just scooping a jar into the bottom of my current fermenter.

    Fermzilla

I would also love to know this.

    KegLand Questions and Answers

Does the Fermzilla fit in the Kegmaster series 4? What about with the carb cap/spunding valve? Any ETA and price indication for the fermenter fridges?

Dangerous "Kegland" sticker on Co2 bottle

They're grubs. I asked for an explanation why they wouldn't fill KL bottles and all the guy would say was "it's complicated" over and over again and I was SOOL.

    KegLand Questions and Answers

First run today :D What you've said makes sense, so thanks for that Next time I wont do a stripping run and see how it compares. I've heard the Tomato Paste Wash is pretty clean. And yeh I'm going for a neutral

    KegLand Questions and Answers

Hi Kegland, on your Reflux still video you say to stop collecting after the temperature goes up by 1*c. Does that apply for a stripping run? In my stripping run I let it go up 5*c and it was still 86%.

All Grain - is it substantially better beer?

Man what an amazing system. All up the brew day took about 6hrs. Probably only 2hrs of me actively doing anything. 90m mash and 90m boil. Set up takes seconds. Then I heated up 20L of sparge water to 85* and put that in a pot. Then I started to heat up my mash water. Then I had to unfortunately...

    Step Mash ramp up time

Just installed Beersmith 3 today and made some recipes. Can't say I understood every section completely, but it's a very neat piece of software and when I loaded in the Robobrew profiles everything made a lot more sense. Good to know :)

Will do mate :D Will pay extra care to set up and cleaning for ya

    Step Mash ramp up time

Thanks for the reply mate. It all makes sense, and glad to hear it's not the most important thing. I've just got myself a Robobrew Gen 3, and loaded in Gash Sluggs profiles into Beersmith and those were the numbers it gave me for a Czech Pilsner. (Whilst also trying to keep it simple for a...

    Step Mash ramp up time

If a recipe says to mash in @64c for 75m then mash out @76c for 10m, and I'm assuming a 7m temperature time rise, where does that 7 mins go to? Do I only start the 10m mash out timer once I hit 76c? So total mash time will be ~92m?

All Grain - is it substantially better beer?

Yeh mate, it arrived yesterday. She's a beauty. Got the reflux still attachment as well. Gave it a good clean and hosed it off. The Gen 3.1 has a few nice improvements on it. Will do my first brew probably Monday (Czech Pilsner) after I keg what's currently in the fermenter.

All Grain - is it substantially better beer?

Have had my first Maxi-BIAB AG Helles Lager (Mangrove Jacks kit) on keg for the last month. All my mates love it and I think it can definitely be better considering my mash and sparge temps bounced around all over the shop. Considering how difficult it was the control temps, the mess it made...
