    Starting a yeast bank

This is the article where I got the 10% glycerine (5ml per 50ml vial) reference from. https://www.homebrewtalk.com/freezing-yeast.html "Glycerin, food grade (must be diluted in sanitized water before use; a rate of 1 part glycerin to 4 parts water gives a 20% final concentration). Glycerin...

    Starting a yeast bank

Are there any negative effects of having glycerine in the wort? Flavour, yeast health, attenuation etc I realise that there's only a very small amount of glycerine per pitch. e.g. 5ml per 50ml tube and then that is then diluted in 20 odd litres of wort. Any effects would most likely be...

    WTB: KeyKeg Coupler

Wouldn't be Kona would it? I bought a keg of this off Craft Revolution but distributed through Paramount a few years back. They lent me a coupling. Might be worth asking your rep?

    KegLand Questions and Answers

The old Mytton and Rheem kegs use 1/2" posts. The old ones have mushroom seals in the poppets. For me, it would be a lot easier if i could service them with standard poppet orings etc. Someone already mentioned that the original 1/2" posts are getting harder to find, not that they need replacing...

What is the best home brew starter kit? (not too expensive)

    - Capper and caps. - Racking cane - For the fermenter, perhaps something similar to the coopers one. PET but with the large opening for easy cleaning/access, best of both worlds. That being said, i think the standard HDPE is more versatile as they progress with the hobby, can be used as the...

    Large Mytton Grosvenor kegs

I found the same with the posts. So i swapped them out for the 1/4" bulkhead post into a 1/2-1/4" reducing bush, seems to be working well so far. The 5/8" washers for tap shanks etc fit really well as a replacement to the hard plastic washers, again not original but it makes my life easier.

    Large Mytton Grosvenor kegs

Please don't cut them up. They are some of the best kegs for home brewing. Youre better off selling them and chopping up some 50L DIN kegs instead, the beer gods will thank you. As for history, i believe that they were manufactured in Melbourne by Mytton Grosvenor. I think they were made...
