    Two Hearted IPA - Beersmith

Best IPA available in the State's IMO. Not a big fan of piney finishes in fact I prefer milds, browns and stouts but this offering by Bells is the cats ass.

    Two Hearted IPA - Beersmith

A friend and myself couldn't understand why this Bell's offering wasn't available everywhere in the States. Almost two years later it is represented at nearly all true beer outlets in can, bottle or both. It is IMO the standard by which others should be judged but the style is open to a wide...

This is golden. I'm the same way about the whole new and improved bit. If it ain't broke...

    No Chill Containers

I'm still waiting on a reasonable explanation as to why Hitler fought the Brits in N.Africa. I'm not full on no-chill but I think it will work well once I get it all gathered up.

    CO2 bottle testing in Canberra?

Found two sources, both in Fyshwick. BOC Gas & Gear (02) 6280 6921 Robt. Hughes Autogas (02) 6280 5676 Either might perform certifications or should at least lead you to the proper source.

    No Chill Containers

Have a pool store within a mile. Will check it out. We went through a month of drought in May and now it won't stop raining from gulf hurricane. Rednecks and hooker's are washing up. Pool shop should likely offer a kit to check ph levels.

    No Chill Containers

The site has something very similar looking only the description is rather vague. Might just get 4 and the tap that resembles what you posted, at least for now. Thanks everyone.

    No Chill Containers

Do I need to purchase spigots at an additional cost of US$3 and some change for each? The cans are $10 apiece and very similar to your own from what few pics I have seen. Hard to find here for whatever reason.

Fruit fly in starter - stuffed?

Nice trade off. Do gecko's crave beer?

Fruit fly in starter - stuffed?

Had the same but not due to brewing. I think they are called drain flies, smaller than gnats. Pour 1 cup of bleach, 1cup of baking soda and 1cup of vinegar down each drain. Drain flies will soon disappear or at least they did for me. They do like fruit or anything sweet but they aren't fruit flies.

    Newbie from Alabama

I'm a kit brewer till I drop my first grain. Had a decent setup for about 3 years in the 90's, even a local homebrew shop nearby. Ended up toting it all to the roadside from my divorce in utter defeat. But my children are all grown, the ingredients are much accessible and fresher and I want to...

    Brewing in Bargo

I love your fermenter. I personally don't know anyone that has died of galvanized metal poisoning and I'm sure country folk here in the states paid no mind to the shellack on their butter churns after all...the cheesecloth kept the bugs out. Welcome brother- I'm new as well.

    Newbie from Alabama

Thanks for the welcome. Will definitely look at the dark milds. Like many styles, just don't much care for the citrus, piney bomb double ipa's that are all the rage. And I'm sure I will catch on to finding my way through the site. Looks as if I'll have to use a cheat sheet on the units...

    Newbie from Alabama

Stouts and porters but step out occasionally. Saw some elec. brew comparisons and thought I might chime in. Old school mainly but my taste's seem to gravitate toward single fermentation and if I need something more potent than 7 or 8 abv then in my book I need a shot of hard liquor, not beer.

    Newbie brewer

No matter what anyone says, you need to KNOW what YOU like and the devil what anyone else thinks. That's the bottom line bro.

    Newbie from Alabama

Hardest site I have EVER navigated. EVER! I'm from Alabama. Jealous of newbie, Davidc of Canada's hop growing capabilities. Have familiy in NSW's. Nevertheless, I'm looking forward to a long-standing brewing relationship within this community.

    Hi from Canada

Hi David. I'm new as well and damn jealous of your hop growing capabilities. That said. I'm sure we will buddy-up to bounce related info once I get this home financed.
