Any way to search for can recipes?

Do you have a favourite recipe from the Coopers site? I have only tried a handful but really enjoy the Hop Slam (USA) recipe but substitute the Bravo and Equinox hops with Cascade and Amarillo. Also quite like the Parity Ale.

    Muntons Kits

Will do mate.... Cheers. Have noticed it has improved a lot since I tried it 2 weeks after bottling then 2 weeks later again. Can only imagine it will continue to get better! Would love to know if others have had decent results with a similar recipe??

    LME Tins

I am relatively new to brewing but have experimented with a few different Morgans and Coopers Kits. I find both to be pretty good provided I use a premium yeast such as US-05. My personal favourite is the Thomas Coopers Brew A IPA brewed with 1.5KG LDM and US-05 yeast. I ferment at around 18C...

    Muntons Kits

Drinking my Irish Cream Ale at the moment. Not the worst beer I have ever tasted but would definitely make a couple of adjustments next time. Method I used was: 1 X Muntons Irish Cream Ale Kit 500g Dextrose 500g LDM Kit Yeast Only Fermented at 20C for 20 days Will use 1KG LDM next time with...

    Muntons Kits

Hi Mate, I am just about to do the Munton's Irish Cream Ale Kit. The advice I got from the brew shop I go to is that the yeast in these kits is pretty good. I usually do away with the kit yeast and use US-05 however I am going to use the Munton's kit yeast in this one to see how it goes...

    G'Day... New Tassie Member Here

Been getting heaps of great ideas and advice here for several months now, so thought it was time that I introduced myself properly. Brad is my name and I live in the Southern Midlands region of Tassie. New to Home Brewing, only been at it for about 12 months now. Learning lots, and always...

    A Return to Kits

I can't say I have ever brewed anything other than kits and bits recipes. Only been brewing for about 12 months so I am far from an expert, however for what it's worth I would have to say that the best brew I have come across so far is the James Squire Golden Ale Clone from the Morgan's...

High fg on pale ale kit

I have to agree with Lionman on the yeast. I am only new to brewing but have noticed a huge improvement in my beers since I started using premium yeast instead of the kit yeast. Costs a few extra bucks but well worth it in my opinion. Would love to hear how it turns out anyway...

    Help.... Golden Ale Recipe

Thanks for the info and feedback guys. I will definitely give that recipe a run at some stage down the track Laxation. I am loving the Amarillo at the moment. As Brewnicorn says; sometimes it's a matter of having enough time to play. I'll get there one day though as I do enjoy experimenting...

    Help.... Golden Ale Recipe

I finally got around to sampling this little gem tonight after bottling it around a fortnight ago. Easily one of the best beers I have brewed thus far. I chose not to dry hop the second lot of Amarillo hops..... Next time I will add them out of curiosity but very happy with the result anyway...

Great Beer at the Hobart Brewing Company

Finished work early on Friday arvo so decided to head into the Hobart Brewing Company to sample one of their many beers. Never been there until Friday, but I will definitely be heading back there. I only had the one beer as I had to pick up my young fella on the way home, but my word what a...

    Help.... Golden Ale Recipe

23L makes sense.... I'll go this way as per the recipe. I'll take your advice and dry hop more of the amarillo hops also. As for the PET bottles...... Used these for my first couple of brews before switching to crown seal glass bottles. I am finding that the glass bottles result in better...

    Help.... Golden Ale Recipe

Thanks Reedy..... I'll use it in place of sugar/dextrose. That Dr Smurtos Golden Ale recipe is similar to this one by the looks of it. I noticed that one makes 20 ltrs as opposed to 23. Would you advise me to make mine up to 20 ltrs or still go to 23? What impact will this have on the end...

    Help.... Golden Ale Recipe

Hi Guys, I'm a new member to this site, and also a newbie when it comes to brewing. So far I have brewed a few beers using Morgan's kits. They have turned out ok, but I wouldn't say they are anywhere near the best beers I have ever tasted. However they have been drinkable! I have stumbled...
