+1 for the previous posters and........ prior to purchasing an actual temperature controller, I used a thermometer in the fridge and a timer switch to turn the fridge on and off at intervals to regulate the temperature. it's a bit more work to monitor the temp and set the appropriate on/off...

brilliant day and great company my compliments to the host and for the record, I though your brewing technique was excellent. pity about your uncontrollable brewing assistant that spent more time faffing about with his tin foil hat than actually helping

you'll always get a point or 2 when you rack. As stated by other posters, the act of racking will stir up the yeast and is 1 of the techniques for restarting a stalled ferment. nothing to worry about at all, just check for stable readings as usual before bottling or kegging
