Protein Haze When Using Pilsener Malt

Hi Guys, I mainly use Joe White Ale and Pilsener base malts for my ales. When I use the ale malt I usually get a nice clear beer in the keg after a week or so, however if I use Pilsener as the base I almost always get a bad chill haze that hangs around for ever. Rather than use post-boil...

Kegging A Beer - No Fridge Space

Hi Guys, My keg fridge only holds two kegs, which is currently full. I have a third brew that is ready to keg this afternoon, but probably won't make it into the fridge for at least another week. Which option do you think is best: 1) keg the beer, purge the headspace and simply leave at room...

    Replacement For Recultured Coopers Yeast

Evening all. I brewed a simple Aussie ale on the weekend, mainly pilsner malt with a touch of carared then some POR first wort hopped only. Was going to pitch a recultured coopers yeast tomorrow, but it has failed to take off and I am going to turf it. Is there a dry yeast that will get some...

    Polyclar V Whirfloc

Brewed an APA this weekend, and everything went to plan...really happy. Then realised I forgot the bloody Whirfloc which was obvious from the very cloudy wort into the fermenter. I have never used Polyclar before, but will this do a similar job of clearing things up when added at the end of...

Guys, I replaced some of the cold side tubing in the brewery recently with the cheap and nasty clear vinyl rolls from Bunnings. For the life of me I can't get this stuff to straighten out enough to be useful, it just rolls back up again even in shorter lengths. Any tips?
