    Nsw Amateur Brewing Competition

Hi Matt, Apologies that this response is indeed a little late. It is also somewhat unsolicited from the club in general, as frankly, I haven't been much assistance to them for the past 12 months. Hopefully this will explain somewhat to you what has happened and how we can resolve your gripe...

Pro V Amateur - Who Has The Real Advantage?

I tend to disagree with this point, BD... Sure the forklift driver and the secretary probably haven't, many of these guys have been trained in courses you and I probably couldn't get an invitation to, or affford, if we wanted. They have a lot of resources at their fingertips. Just because they...

Aabc And Subordinate State Competition Rules

I reckon some great points have come out of this thread. As stated by many, the main issue seem to be; What should the Australian Amateur Brewing Championship encompass? As stated before, the key points all come down to semantics, and by that I mean the definition of the two key words...

Aabc And Subordinate State Competition Rules

A brief read here of the rules of the biggest beer competition in the world puts it quite briefly; <SNIP>( b ) Your homebrew cannot have been brewed on equipment used to brew beverages for any commercial purpose, whether for commercial research, production or any other purpose, including...

Aabc And Subordinate State Competition Rules

Of course you can... but it would be considered a base ingredient. You would still need to combine it with other base ingredients and brew a beer i.e. water, hops, specialty grains etc. If you use a FWK or a can, the majority of the base ingredients and the brewing has already been done for you...

Aabc And Subordinate State Competition Rules

I think this whole Amateur vs. Commercial vs Pro Brewer debate has been stewing there on the back burner for a while. In reality, it's going to come down to semantics... The way I see it, the focus is on brewing versus fermenting. If this is a going to be termed the Australian Amateur Brewing...

Goldstein Stainless Steel Two Door Commercial Fridge

I can give you an idea... I bought a non-stainless version (given, glass doors might not be as efficient as those shiny staino doors) and the quarterly powerbill went from $600 to $1050...:o ...sure it probably wasn't all the fridge, but I reckon it costs close on $100/month to run one of those...

    Fathers Day - Whats On...

Probably head to the kart rack tomorrow with the kids, so Sunday will probably involve a brekky knocked up by the aforementioned followed by a session of kart cleaning and servicing. Because I'm one of the lucky one's who still has him at nearly 40 years of age, that'll be followed with a barby...
