Aqua 2 Go 12l Bottles - Anyone Use Them?

I've been doing a few mini beers of late ...stovetop 10L BIABs. Anyway, at my local Officeworks I saw these "Aqua to Go" 12L bottles on sale. Linky ! I found some older posts about the "blue" water dispenser bottles being the wrong type of plastic, and even the clearer ones being oxygen...

    Got To Be Airborne, Right?

Im struggling with a recurring, persistent, frustrating beer quality problem which I believe is an infection in my beer. I am losing almost 3 in 5 beers to an infection that presents as a sour/off aroma and stripped out hop flavour and aroma that leaves the beer with an increased or amplified...

    Heart Of Glass

In an attempt to develop a closer rapport with my fermenting wort, I think I'd like to acquire a glass fermenter. They look like they may be difficult to clean ...but, apart from that ...and that they will break instead of bouncing (as my plastic fermenter regularly does) ...yeah, apart from...

    Beer King 2000

I bought one of these years ago ... ...when I was first attempting to keg my beer. It was a bloody shocker at the time because the co2 bulbs it was designed to use weren't available, so I had to improvise and use smaller bulbs with "packing" behind them which never seemed to seal well...

    What's Your Dog Called

Lads and Ladies, we've just welcomed our newest family member ... a six week old Staffy dog. The debate is currently raging over what his name will be. So, I'd love to hear from fellow brewers some names that might stick so we can "wet the babies head" so to speak! Any suggestions...

    Biab Crossover

I've been Brewing in a Bag BIAB (linky) for a while now ...and enjoying the results immensly! However, I'm looking to maximise my output and "double batch" ...to produce around 45L of wort. I already have a 55L vessel, which I use for my single batch BIAB, and I'm about to purchase a 120L...

Amarillo Apa Is In The Bag !

Results are in ...my first All-Grain beer is a clear winner - based purely on the incredible enjoyment I get from drinking it !!! This beer was "crafted" using the BIAB method ...and at this point I acknowledge the many All-In-One Brewery pioneers and the BIAB test pilots who took up the...

    Flow Restrictor

I saw this on ebay... Has anyone used this particular type? It's made for Micromatic, but seems to be mostly John Guest push connect fittings. I'm interested to know how it goes... seems a less expensive option than a compensator tap - if it works well!! Here's a picture ...

    Molino Mills

I have been doing some looking around for a grain mill and have noticed the "molino" mill has a few models ... there's the Marga, the Corona, the Victoria ...all of them molino's. So, what's the difference? Who uses what? Are some better/bigger/smaller/faster than others? I'm...

    What Packet Yeast Is That?

My local HBS supplies the same packet yeast with ALL the kits they sell. They're not real sure what strain it is either  ... only that its an "ale yeast" of some kind. Anyone think they might know? I'm just curious ... It comes in a white packet with "Pacific Brewing" printed on it.
