coopers extra strong vintage ale, a few questions

You don't really need any special equipment for steeping grains, I just use a couple of saucepans and a fine mesh sieve.

coopers extra strong vintage ale, a few questions

There are 3 different recipes for vintage ale here on the Coopers website. http://store.coopers.com.au/recipes/index/list/section/strong They all have step by step instructions on how to make them. I can't find one that uses Nelson Sauvin hops though.

    new coopers brew A IPA

OK I take most of that back, its pretty delicious, bit of late hopping or dry hopping and these would be awesome. Still wish the old IPA was still in production though.

    new coopers brew A IPA

I bought a few of them, I've got the Bookmaker pale ale and the Brew A IPA on tap at the moment and on Saturday I put the porter and amber ale in primary. I just brewed them up with 1kg of LDME each, the IPA to 18L and the pale ale to 21L, used US-05 yeast in both. Neither of them are...

    Lemons in beer

I tried it once years ago, pretty sure the beer got an infection. It was undrinkable, even the unemployed alcoholic guy up the road couldn't stomach it. The only beer I've ever made that went down the drain. Maybe you need to do a small boil to kill the nasties or just put a slice of lemon in...

    'battle Of The Toucans'

http://store.coopers.com.au/recipes/index/view/id/46/ There's this one on the Coopers site, says it has lots of cascade hop character and that's just using the tins without any hop additions. Should turn out nice I reckon.

Coopers selling full kit & bits recipe packs with free postage.

There's a big porter on the Coopers website now, 9.4% abv. Sounds interesting, might be a good one for winter time but coming into summer I brew mostly quaffers. http://store.coopers.com.au/tsar-s-tar-recipe-pack.html

    What's your favourite kit manufacturer?

Best kit beers I've made have probably been the Country Brewer Wet Pak and ESB Finest Round wort kits but I think they stopped making them. Their 3kg tins are pretty good too. 90% of my brews are made with Coopers stuff, I take advantage the free shipping when it's on offer.

There's a new up on the Coopers website now. A dark wheat beer. http://store.coopers.com.au/darth-weizer-rotm-pack.html

Fresh wort kits vs Can worts

How long would the shelf life be on a fresh wort kit? How long do all grain brewers keep their wort in a cube before you decide to brew it up? I bought an All In Brewing citra pale fwk and noticed it was 6 months old when I got it home. Drinking a glass now. It doesn't taste bad at all but it...

    Corny keg carbonation

I have a kegerator that fits three kegs but I was thinking about getting a few more kegs that I would keep full and carbonate naturally and age some bigger bigger beers in. My theory is when a keg runs out I simply grab a filled warm naturally carbonated keg put it in the kegerator and connect...
