Yeh it is disappointing that it seems to be the steel/welds thats the cause. and will be chasing it up with the manufacturer, thankfully for most it isn't an issue, but extremely unlucky for a couple with the issue, and those ones need to be replaced.

A) like yob said depends on the pressure, if you get the pressure right, the brumby taps dont have a problem. B )i have used the disconnect head more than the bar head, I might of been doing something wrong but I found it better to just find the sweet spot on the regulator and not use the flow...

yes the SS disconnects are shorter, looks like about 25mm difference, in the photo it is a 2L mini keg the plastic one is about 410mm tall, the SS is about 385mm tall. and your tap sits at a different angle.
