    Brew Enhancer

Best thing you can do is throw your Coopers book away and read some of the threads on this forum. I find brewing ales at around 18 -20 works a treat, much better tasting beer. Seriously, I have learnt so much from this forum and the wealth of knowledge from everyone, I am brewing much better...

My first few brews were lacking head and a bit under carbed, I now use some wheat malt in all my brews and have not had a problem since. Cheers.

    Sound

I bought a cordless drill last year for $120 with an inbuilt am/fm radio. So when the footy's on I pull out the drill and listen to the game, or if i feel like some tunes they're only a turn of the dial away. What more could a bloke want?

    Is It Really Lager

I would be using the back shed, for primary and secondary. Not sure of the temps in Sydney at the moment but would probably be cooler than inside.

    Stuck Fermenter Or High Fg?

Enter all your info into a brewing calculator like Brewcraft have on their website. It will give you an estimated FG, I think 1.015 is about right.

My Coles sells them for about $15 a box but usually only have one on the shelf. I find Big W has heaps for around $11 a box.

Saflager S-23 How Long Until Airlock Activity

Airlocks are notorious for leaks, what I do with all of my airlocks is to get a knife or scissors and gently shave the little ridges of plastic down so they are smooth. They work fine after that. Don't be too worried if there is a leak, your beer will still ferment fine.

    Proclamation - Wort Kits....

I am drinking one right now, a type 1 with 40g amarillo and used the wyeast 1056. A really simple brew but bloody nice. I am drinking this after only 10 days in the bottle and it tastes better than some of my others that have been in the bottle for 6 weeks!! This is my second type 1, at $40...
