FS. Melb. Kegs, Monster Mill+Ozito Drill, Jockey Box, taps, keggle

Hi mate, I'm interested in the kegs, gas bottle, regulator and taps. Do the taps have shanks? Do you also have associated disconnects, line etc?

    Fruit mince pie beer

I'm not sure if this has ever been attempted. I'm a big fan of fruit mince pies, they're my weakness. So I have this idea of brewing a "fruit mince pie beer" for Christmas. I imagine it being a beer on the sweeter end of the spectrum with some sweet dark fruity flavours, some hints of spice...

New method for bulk priming in primary fermenter

I have been contemplating the merits/plausibility of doing exactly this. I couldn't find anything on this method searching the forum last night but somehow stumbled upon this by googling tonight. Interested to hear how people have gone doing this and if the OP has continued to find it successful?

Awesome [emoji106] that's reassuring. Appreciate it.

    PET vs glass.

That's interesting that the PET's were the first I bottled. I guess that means I can eliminate thoroughly mixing of the sugar as the problem in my case.

    PET vs glass.

Yes, they were definitely tightened past the tamper-proof ring! I thought I'd given them a pretty good twist to tighten up, the bottles do feel firm before going in the fridge, like there's pressure inside. After they've chilled down they're a little softer, I assume as whatever pressurised gas...

    Beerfest 2016 - Melbourne Brewers 26-27 Feb

I've entered mine, after an evening at carwyn cellars drinking real good beers, then coming home to open mine I'm not convinced I'll do well. I've only entered one other comp in WA before and am curious hop the samples are poured? My beers are bottle conditioned/carbed and the second pour is...

    PET vs glass.

So I've drank my way through a couple of the PET's now, as well as a few more swing top glass as well, all the PET's are well under carbed compared to glass. So I guess the lesson is tighten the lids REALLY hard. Could it be worth opening up the remainder and dropping a touch of sugar into...

    PET vs glass.

They were brand new brown PET made for beer, not coopers but I forget the brand. This was my first time using PET. I've popped another in the fridge to try out. Hopefully it was just the one bottle with a loose lid!

    PET vs glass.

My most recent batch I used some PET bottles for the first time along with glass bottles. Today I drank a PET followed by a glass. The PET was basically flat but the one from glass was like this. I batch prime, so the only variables are the volumes of the bottle 500ml vs 750ml and the...

    Beerfest 2016 - Melbourne Brewers 26-27 Feb

I bottled a batch on Saturday morning. Planning to enter it as my first go in a Victorian comp. It's a nice clean brew but to me lacks a wow factor. Nothing to lose so will see how it goes.

    us05, two packs?

My normal yeast is US-05. I sometimes sprinkle and sometimes rehydrate it. I haven't really noticed a difference in the end beer. Usually I notice some activity in the first 12-18 hours regardless of how I pitch. My most recent brew started at 1.050 and I just sprinkled it. 24 hours in I had...
