Okay. Thanks. However, if I was to do it that way - is that the correct way?

Returning home brewer with an upgrade

Hello friends, I used to brew a couple of years ago and am just about to get back into it. The way I did it before was 1 week in a fermenter, 1 week in a secondary with a couple of days cold crash before into bottles with Cooper's Sugar for another fortnight. This time around I still plan on...

New to home brewing and a little confused

If you get into your brewing, waiting for Perth weather to match up for ideal temperatures would be frustrating as. If you can get a decent 2nd hand fridge for $100- and spend about $30- on a temp controller you'll be able to make beer all year round.

Wyeast 1084 Irish Ale - Love That Yeast

Rightio then, still learning. Thought I didn't need to do the starter thing. Will pull that out next time. I remember that I also hadn't aerated the brew, so I gave that a go and since then the brew has started to ferment. Hopefully it's not to ruined by the exposure to air and not getting the...

Wyeast 1084 Irish Ale - Love That Yeast

I used one of these for the first time when I did I brew on Sunday. Didn't swell up as much I thought it might and so far my brew is showing no signs of fermentation. (3 days) Any thoughts?

Went to add my yeast and found this? What is it? Am I only seeing it because it is a really low coloured brew?

Shout out to the guys from GrainFather. Misplaced my black cap on my filter, sent an email asking for just that. They sourced a whole new filter and sent it out. Great customer service

    Perputually missing FG

Thanks again guys. Such a damn rookie. But it's also a good feeling learning something new everytime, meaning my next brew is going to be even better.

    Perputually missing FG

Awesome, which means they're pretty much spot on. Thanks again everyone, I'm not as bad as what I thought.

    Perputually missing FG

Thanks guys, I will look into this as soon as I can (at work) and will let you know. If true, it would make sense as to why I was getting drunk of what I thought were mid strength....
