    Pilsner brew time advice needed

Hi Two Crows Thanks for the reply. Yeast is correct Lagering yeast, which comes with the tin. I brewed my last batch in the shed during winter here. Cold here in Blayney! It came out really well. I know it won't be as clear as it should be, but that doesn't bother me. I use bottles, lager them...

My under house brew area was a steady 25deg. They all came out great! Finished in a week l think. The only thing l didn't like...

    How do you clean fermenters?

I just rinse mine out after bottling and remove all krausen with my hands, no scourer (this makes little scratches which hold bacteria). Turn em upside down till dry, and store them with lid lightly on. Then on brew day wash them with pink brewers soap and rinse and brew. No problems so far.

    Brewing a saison for noobs

I just brewed my first "saison". l used my standard ale mix of 1 can of Coopers Pale and 300gm dextrose to 15L. I made two of these batches and pitched half a rehydrated Belle Saison yeast pack in each. I put some of the freshly fermenting wort into 5x 1.25 litre PET bottles with Pat Macs caps...

Seeking compensation for exploding beer bottle

Dropping exploding bottles into the bin one by one seems a bit silly.

coopers saison recepie - anything you'd change ?

Haha, man! I've been thinking, "use my dodgy povo ale recipe as a bible? Really? I know it works ok but there's other stuff out there to try. And aren't there enough bibles in the world already?" Way to confuse a bloke!!! Ha, I'm still laughing!

coopers saison recepie - anything you'd change ?

As there seems to be some great saison advice on this thread I'm gonna jump in with a question. I had some saison last night at Foghorn in Newcastle. I really enjoyed it and as its hot now I thought I'd make some. I've been having good results from coopers pale tin and 300gms dextrose to 15...

    Fusel Alcohol

Hey Fellas. I'm just about to do a Coopers Ginger Beer and a Brigalow Cider, both of which have a high brew temp of about 25deg. Should I ignore this and go with my beer ferment temp of 18deg? I like not getting headaches. Thanks.
