    WLP009 versus bottle dregs

My Google fu has failed to find a suitable answer to the question of whether this is the same yeast strain or not. I've lately been using WLP009 for a few brews, multiple APAs and a barleywine and I like it enough to make it a "house strain". My focus is on making all-Australian beers and it...

    Wild Fermentation - an experiment

It started with a La Sirene Wild Saison, not quite a lambic style but it had the flavours and aromas. Compared to a Saccharomyces-only ferment the complexity can be a little over-whelming. ESB recipe - comments?

This recipe started out from a 4 Pines ESB clone thread, as I'm a bit of a fan (http://aussiehomebrewer.com/topic/79144-4-pines-esb-alike/). But going on a simpler is better philosophy (and it's only my 2nd AG brew), I took the suggested grain and hop schedules and tried to simplify them...

    Hefeweizen recipe - thoughts?

Favourite of mine is Franziskaner, so I'm looking to do something similar and not necessarily a clone. Looking through other threads has given me some general ideas of grain and hops bill. Mashing is a little complicated to bring out the clovey flavours. Melanoiden is added to give a decoction...

First brew - DrSmurto inspired GA

Hi, "First time" brew here. It's been over 10 years since I last dabbled and that was with the Coopers Starter Kit from Coles, where the first one was by the book turned out great and of course being young and stupid next batch we wanted it more alcoholic just add more sugar, right? Turns out...
