    KegLand Questions and Answers

Hi KegLand, I've noticed you have 2 types of plate chillers? The eBay version is described as 30 plate and your website says 20 plate. Will the 20 plate efficiently cool 25L hot wort? Also can the chillers be disassembled for cleaning? Thanks

White Rabbit - White Ale Recipe Success

I've recently made a delicious Belgian Wit that I thought was reasonably close to White Rabbit, although next time I'd use bitter orange peel and a bit more coriander. The recipe was from Jennifer Talley's new book " Session Beers" and the recipe was for an Allagash White Ale. I'll be making...

Mini Keg Discussion / Mods / Show Off - Dedicated Thread

Has anyone used one of the premium mini regulators with a large (2.6kg or 6.0kg) gas co2 bottle? Wonder if it will work ok? I've got two of the mini regs and using one splitting the gas (sodastream 400g) for 2x5L mini kegs in a fridge/Esky and I've just recently bought my first 19L corny and...

    Belgian style pale ale ?

To ensure the mash liquor is at a temperature. On my first batch I mashed out at 75C, after the temp was reached and elements switched off, the temp display climbed to 86C. It had a weird bitter astringency, and was undrinkable. Next batch I didn't mash out and was fine. Batch 3 I removed malt...

    Belgian style pale ale ?

Sounds good Manticle & Lyrebird_Cycles Might make this a simple one for now, 50/50 JW pils/Castle Pale. For half the IBUs I'll use Magnum still and the remainder IBUs with Styrian Goldings. How would I step mash at those temps with a non pump RoboBrew? I'm not that confident raising the temp...
