Mate, the wife is GF, have you tried using clarity ferm when pitching the yeast? Look into it as its a s#$ load easier than going down the other path! Either that or just buy some obriens and soak the labels off!

First BIAB brew - Will this SMASH be good?

I would be worried that there is not enough malt profile (choc, crystal, carra) to balance that bitterness. I would drop the 60min addition to 5-10g and move the 20min addition to the cube if no chilling or maybe 10 min or even whirlpool if chilling. It all comes down to personal taste but thats...

    220lt drums

I worked around pools for years and the HCL we used to get in was nasty shit that would burn your lungs if you were not careful! I would give them back! I was looking at some food grade ones on eBay the other day for about $10 each. Not worth the risk

    First Brew

Ah that makes more sense! For that higher gravity kit yeast would be a huge under pitch that may of stalled when the temp dropped! Have you added more yeast? What temp now? What yeast did you add? Also what else did you put in at the start and what volume made to? Honestly the more details the...

Agree with the above but I would use the coopers cerveza can instead of the lager can. I have used it before and would make a good base for this recipe. I made it with dextrose, kit yeast and kaffier lime leaves that had been boiled to kill off any bugs. Wasn't a bad beer other then way too many...
