Another Source Of Kits In Canberra

George's Liquor Stable in Phillip, ACT, now have a respectable range of home brew kits (Coopers, Brewcraft, Muntons etc.), Morgans unhopped malt extracts and other K+K ingredients. I picked up a Coopers IPA kit for $12.95, and a 1.5kg tin of Morgans Extra Pale Malt extract for $8.95 (not for...

    Coopers Bavarian Ale?

I was thinking of doing a toucan with two Coopers Bavarian Ale kits using some Coopers ale yeast; there's no way I can achieve lager temperatures at the moment (last brew was 26-28 deg. C). Obviously it won't turn out like a lager, but I figure the double dose of malt and hops should be fairly...

    Coopers Yeast Codes

The following was posted on the Coopers forums in response to a query about what the codes on Coopers Yeast sachets included in their kits mean. Lager Kits - Yeast And Other Questions

In preparation for winter, I've bought a couple of lager extract kits (plus additives.) I had hoped to get a couple of Malt Shovel Brewery Two-row Lager kits from Big-W, but they were sold out. According to the instructions the Coopers Bavarian Lager kit contains a lager yeast that requires...

Cooper's Wheat + Wheat Malt Suggestions

As soon as the weather cools down, I had planned to make a wheat beer using: * 1.7kg can of Thomas Coopers Brewmaster Selection Wheat Beer * 1kg can of Morgan's Master Brew Wheat Malt * Safale K-97 yeast I've since read comments on the forums that K-97 is more like a Kolsch yeast, and might be...

    Kit Specifications?

Does anyone know of a source for the specs for Coopers etc. kit cans? I'm particularly after the specs needed by beer recipe calculators e.g. colour (SRM/EBC) and bitterness (IBU or equivalent hops), but you can never have too many specs. :)

    Two Can Brews

I've read various threads about two can brews being too bitter (except for things like Malt Shovel, which are designed to be brewed as is), but can the bitterness be balanced? I was thinking of making a cheap n' cheerful two can hybrid beer e.g. Coopers Draught+Bitter or Draught+Real Ale - has...
