    Plugs for elements over 3600w

I'm using a clips all 56 series outlet and plug, the super chunky type look on ebay for a second hand bargain as they are usually used for temp construction wiring then turfed in near new condition. It really isn't that bad size wise and I know it won't be easily broken, I'd be checking if...

    Looking for Hop Plants/Heads

What variety are you growing? It's not too late so I'd up the water to a good bucket full every day.

    Carbonating with Fermentasaurus

Bottling yes. But you will need additional equipment to successfully get it into a bottle without losing carbonation and oxidation. Either a counter pressure filler or blichman beer gun will be what you are looking for, as well as a gas bottle and reg to push things along.

Some hop leaves are brown, dry

My Tettnang has always done that with the first growth bull shoots, I cut it back and let it grow again. The new growth will take off and flower later in the season

BIAB Grain Absorption and Evaporation Loss

What you want is consistency, which it sounds like you have. Grain absorption seems fine as beersmith (assuming you are using this software) estimates biab absorption to be around 0.5l/kg, you can adjust this value in BS if you can accurately work out where yours sits. Boil off seems high but...

    Another yeast harvesting question..

You want 0.5-0.7 million cells/millilitre/ degree Plato. For an ale. You had half a chance of getting your pitching rate correct the first pitch in, now the odds are not in your favour. With that amount of slurry you are more than over pitching but check Mr malty slurry pitching calculator to...

    Another yeast harvesting question..

If you are ready to go I'd decant the top layer and pitch the middle layer, trying to avoid adding the bottom layer. Plenty of healthy yeast ready to go straight away.

How much O2 gets utilised during bottle conditioning?

I use one of these: https://www.brewhardware.com/product_p/fflbarb12.htm Similar process to yours but straight down the out tube

How much O2 gets utilised during bottle conditioning?

What about when you transfer to a keg without priming sugar? If there is minimal head space will the oxygen present be enough to cause noticeable oxidation or is oxidation more likely to occur from poor transfer practices?

How long should six kegs take to chill?

In his mind was it a perfect design, until he had to actually repair it? I always thought the gold was east of CBR, good thing I'm not a miner.

How long should six kegs take to chill?

It's been quite nice here lately, went to Melbourne a couple of weeks ago and wished we'd stayed home for the nice sunshine. Mtb, where did you go prospecting? Just curious

White Labs WLP059 Melbourne Ale yeast to be released

Anyone used this in an all malt (no sugar at all) English style ale pitched and fermented ~20c? Thinking about a bitters style abv 3.5-4% & ~35ibu. My first gen was used on the tooth's 1931 ale at 18c and it's definitely more malty than hoppy, just wondering if the higher temperature will bring...

How to rekit a Floryte beer tap (Pic Heavy)

Aah, yes that component. When I set mine up I tightened the hex nut then the collar, locking it in with the grub screw. Then I adjusted the grub screw inside the hex block to take the wobble out of the handle. Sound about right? I really winged it and it seemed to work.

How to rekit a Floryte beer tap (Pic Heavy)

What's so hard about re-kitting? I have some and they look very similar internally to the floryte. I got my rebuild kit from Andale

    Rolling boil

The OP is an electrician, as am I. The point, which you missed was that just because an element says its 5500w @240v doesn't mean it actually is. If he has capacity (amps, derr) but under performing elements I know what I'd be doing.
