    Hodfellows brewery - Geebung

Some hardworking Geebung locals have done most of the hard yards to open up Hodfellows brewing, not far from the train station on Robinson Rd. Opening to the public is planned for later this year once the last of the regulatory hurdles have been cleared and fitout is done... in the meantime...

    Power points in Canberra

agree, doesn't want your job - I live well out of town (so minimal competition) and paid ~$1k for a 65m new circuit cable run to a pair of 15A points + a bunch of GPOs

@KegLand-com-au will the brewzilla 4 (65 at least) include a variable speed pump, or valve that can be controlled by the rapt unit?

Kegerator X vs 4 vs other models

I have an old Series 3 that would be a decade old, sitting next to the Series X I bought recently. The Series 3 fan is louder but not by much, but the fan is not the loudest part of the Series X operating - it is the loud gurgling which often lasts for minutes at a time. My bar is away from...

    KegLand Stock?

Robust discussion is a laughable angle to push, especially with your posting history. Most people are probably baited into the thread by the title suggesting there might be stock of the desirable products KL advertise that are often difficult to purchase due to pandemic / supply chain / trade...

    Cube questions

I am no scientist but I presume MHB is referring to the water being free of excess Dissolved Oxygen, or having oxygen in the headspace of the container. Not all water is equal - unless completely demineralised it contains various other elements like calcium - and the proportion of oxygen varies...

    KegLand Questions and Answers

I find this a surprise. I make hop monster beers and regularly put 300g+, sometimes >500g of pellet hops in the BZ65. I have never had an issue with the pump getting stuck (or pumps on any of my previous 3V or 1V systems). Are you using flowers or was there grain stuck in there? Containing...

    KegLand Questions and Answers

@KegLand-com-au do you have anything in the works in terms of sparge water (or recirculation) diffusers to reduce splashing and oxygen pickup? I use an upturned bowl but would be interested in something that was fitted to the bz65L vessel or malt pipe. Stainless would be nice but would be...

Start up research help: Lock down idea - A pre-made yeast starter that saves the environment

Dunno what you mean. Surely homebrewers are doing everything they can to find more single-use packaged products to "save the environment" ;) This product by itself is probably double the cost of yeast for the average batch, close to triple if brewers are buying yeast in bulk.

    Bottling with Kveik yeast

I have bottled kveik beers in glass and PET with no change from typical bottling processes - conditioning in the warmer month the PET bottles firm up noticeably faster than typical ale yeast

    KegLand Questions and Answers

It’s not isolated to today, when I was trying to unsuccessfully buy that regulator as a gift. Your website is always slow, for all of the money you spend on tooling and promotion it is always frustrating trying to actually browse or order anything.

    KegLand Questions and Answers

Hi @KegLand-com-au your website is still awfully slow and the search is rubbish. Are you investing in fixing this? Any old website analyser will give simple advice on how to improve the performance e.g. Pingdom Tools

I am all for more 4" TC compatible fermentation attachments - one with an inexpensive dry hop / fruiting port could be interesting. For anyone interested in the Brewbuilt fermentation gear (they are a morebeer brand from the US), here's an entertainingly similar post to one you'd find on this...

    Hop Burn on Bottled NEIPA

You need to crash colder for longer, or look into filtering (absolutely not recommended IMO, but it's an option)

    KegLand Questions and Answers

Understood. Moving the electronics up definitely improves usability, but again you'd need a splash guard to keep them safe from liquid running down the side. My issue isn't really with boilovers - they've been rare and haven't had one for years - it's more of an issue with cleaning. Any water...
