    Now that you all have grain on the way, and that brewing season has kicked in (for us climatically-challenged brewers, i.e. no lager fridge), when are we going to next meet?

    Grain Split

    It is time for me to go AG. Is there anyone out there interested in buying 25kg bags or half bags of grain and dividing it up? I would prefer it to be pre-milled since I don't have a mill. If it does come cracked, could someone tell me how long I can store it before it deteriorates?

    Partial Mash Not Sacchrifying

    I have done a couple of partial mashes using the same bag of amber malt. I added a small amount of crystal malt to each, including some oats to the the second. On neither occasion could I taste any sacchrification occuring, despite holding at 65 C for an hour. Could it be that the amber malt has...
