Smartaform started to organise one. Not sure what happened, must have fallen off the radar. What do people want in a brew club? To do brews, swap beers or just talk brewing, or all of the above? If anyone else is keen could they reply in this thread and we could see what we can get happening.

Might be worth giving the house, especially around the brew area a good clean with bleach. If there are bacteria in your house they are more likely to find there way into your brew

Will be fine. STC can switch a lot more power than 2 heat belts assuming you are just using ~22w belts.

I'm in pretty much the same position. Just finishing off a BIAB build but haven't done one yet. Happy to lend a hand but don't know how much use I'd be.

Just a thought. could it be that your boil element is getting too hot and melting the seals around it? You said that it was boiling like crazy which Im thinking means while the liquid will only reach 100C the element could be much much hotter.
