    Whats In The Glass (commercial)

Agree with you Manticle, the Belgians are a thing of beauty. Not much of a fan of Westmalle Tripel, Karmeliet is my favourite. Picked these up for Xmas, haven't tried La Trappe before.

"fresh" apple juice cider not doing much after 5 days

Black hearts and sparrows sell a really nice French cider , I think it's called Pere Jules. Not cheap at $25/750ml but it is Christmas.

"fresh" apple juice cider not doing much after 5 days

The new saf cider tastes good on first use. Going to give it another try as thirsy people in my house meant I barely got to try it.

Recommend A Brewery I can Take The Missus To Melbourne

Stomping Ground is good, Bad Shepherd/Wolf is good. Temple Brewery in Brunswick East is said to be a good setup (haven't been in so I don't know). Bonus about this one is literally within a 400m radius you have Alehouse project, B. East ( burgers) and two of the best wood fired pizza places...

I might just use crystal anyway as I have some on hand. Maybe use 55g instead of 110g??

Perlick 545SS Stainless Steel Flow Control Taps - Problems & Solut

That's the beauty of these taps it takes the line length pretty much out of the equation. I run roughly 1.1m, your 1m will be fine.

All good, might not have read quite so clearly anyway.

    Whats In The Glass (commercial)

I have tried this and I think it is pretty pedestrian for an IPA. I won't buy Hawkers out of principle these days. When you hear the Hawkers story from 6 different sources (published media, directed from the brewery) and they aren't consistent. I call bullshit. Not to mention the whole rags...

    Asahi kegs

Happy to be corrected, I thought they were 18litres.

    Asahi kegs

I'm not sure... What's not clear? I rationalise the extra effort with the commercial kegs that sometimes use because they are a bigger vessel(mostly). If they are cornie size they would need to be super cheap/free to justify the extra expenditure on couplers, ball lock attachments, maybe a keg...

    Asahi kegs

Yeah I know, well technically they are bit smaller. The point I was trying to make was that I offset the extra work using these kegs with the fact that they are 50ltrs.

    What are you Brewing 2016?

Planning a double batch of Wiggmans Aussie Lager. Ferment it reasonably high with s-189 and lager for a month for Australia Day. Last lager I did turned out horribly, yeast wasn't as viable as I thought.

    Asahi kegs

If you are going to a get a few for nothing then spend some cash on a tool and coupler then it's worth it. I have a few commercial kegs but to be honest it's the size that makes them attractive. Cornies are much more user friendly for homebrewers.

    Forced Carbonation Question

Best method for me is low and slow. I find that it gives the beer time to condition. Process in my house is ferment/dry hop normally 2 weeks. Keg, into the keezer and hook up to CO2. Leave for 3 weeks. I can do it quicker and have done a fair few times but this works best for me. Same when I...
